The Board of Directors of Allen Engineering Corporation is pleased to announce the following corporate officer promotions effective immediately.
J. Dewayne Allen in now the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Allen has been President of Allen Engineering since it’s inception in 1964. He was the recipient of the prestigious “Sam” Golden Trowel Award in 2005. Dewayne is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Civil Engineering. He is married to Mary Ann and has two sons.
Jay M. Allen is now the President. Jay was previously the Vice President of Sales & Marketing of the firm with over ten years of experience. He holds a Bachelors degree from Baylor University and a Masters degree from Texas A & M University. Jay is married to Lesle and has five children.
Scott Sugg is now the Vice President of Operations. Scott was previously the Manufacturing Manager at Allen. Before joining the firm, he held operations positions in the automotive and consumer products industries. Mr. Sugg holds a Bachelors degree in engineering from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Scott is married to Kim and has three children.
The remaining officers of Allen Engineering are: Mary Ann Allen, Secretary/Treasurer; Bill Barnhill, Senior Vice President; and Jack Wilson, Vice President of Research & Development.
