For some, concrete is not just a business – it’s a way of life! For CFS Forming of San Antonio, TX, this certainly holds true. CFS Forming started in 1996 by husband and wife team Carlo and Vera Salvatore, Italian immigrants who had worked in concrete for years prior to starting their own business. After growing up in Italy, the Salvatores’ moved to Canada in 1962 where they worked as contractors, primarily using walk-behind trowels for finishing floors. They moved to San Antonio in 1983 where CFS Forming was born. Shortly after starting the company, their son Paolo, fresh out of college, joined the team, truly making this a “family affair”.
The Salvatores began buying Allen equipment in the early years of CFS Forming, starting with a twin 36” diameter-riding trowel. An early significant CFS Forming project was building the SBC Center, now known as the AT&T Center, home of the San Antonio Spurs. On that job, the CFS team used three Allen HP100 double-engine riding trowels, producing great F-numbers! Since then, CFS has grown using other Allen equipment including several more riding trowels and one of the newest – the MSP450 model. Thank you CFS Forming for your dedication to Allen Engineering and we look forward to continued mutual success in the future!
