PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Tim Guinn, originally from Arbyrd, Missouri, found Allen Engineering Corp. (AEC) while attending school in 1983 to become an industrial mechanic. Initially looking for a way to pay for his schooling, Tim had no idea he would still be calling AEC home 34 years later.

When asked what he likes best about Allen, Guinn replied, “I love the people and the challenges that come with my job.”

Guinn began working in fabrication in 1983 and has since moved up through fabrication supervisor and currently manages the Product Development and Repairs Department for AEC. More specifically, he focuses on the design of hydraulic riding trowels and paving equipment. Tim enjoys the challenge of designing robust equipment while also keeping up with new technology

Tim and his wife Michelle have one daughter, Emily. He said one of the most important things he’s learn in recent years is the importance of spending quality time with them. He is also an avid duck hunter and fisherman.

Bet You Didn’t Know: Tim enjoys reading about and visiting historical sites from the Civil War era. He has traveled as far as Pennsylvania to visit some of these historic sites.
