Tom Leyes, from Toronto, Canada, began working for Allen nearly four decades ago and hasn’t looked back since.

In 1980, Tom joined Allen because he was excited about the introduction of air screed. Tom said, “I saw a revolutionary new product, and a great opportunity.” Tom owned an air compressor business at the time, and had a wealth of knowledge about air systems which helped make an easy transition to selling air screed for Allen.

Over the course of 37 years, he has enjoyed being a part of introducing and selling many other new products including riding trowels, bridge deck finishers and triple tube pavers. “I really like that there is always something new going on,” Tom added. He also give a lot of credit to Dewayne Allen for his forward thinking and says he has learned a great deal from him.

In his spare time Tom enjoys riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his wife.

Bet You Didn’t Know: Tom actually started out his career in banking, and then switched over to the music industry before landing in construction and equipment distribution.
