Chick-Fil-A in Lehi, Utah

In May of 2017, Scoffield Construction Inc., was tasked with laying a concrete floor for the new Chick-fil-A in Lehi, UT. This pour had large amounts of piping and utility outlets making the job site tricky for a standard riding trowel.

Scoffield Construction Inc. consulted with Brad Ketcherside (Allen TSR), and he recommended an MP235 for piping areas and an MSP445 for the wide open areas. They then worked with Intermountain Concrete out of Ogden, UT to purchase the machines.

The MP235 Edger Riding Trowel was great for the job because it is equipped with unique rotating guard rings that allow it to safely run along the edges of walls, pipes, columns, etc. The MP235 also features an excellent power to weight ratio. Tyler Scoffield, owner of Scoffield Construction, said, “I really like the power for panning, and the fact that I can get within a quarter of an inch to the wall.” The rider’s ability to finish that close to edge greatly reduces the time needed to complete the job.

The MSP445 was also a great addition to the pour by helping finish out the larger open areas. With its excellent weight-to-horsepower ratio, the machine is very powerful and responsive, which allowed Scoffield Construction to complete the pour quickly and efficiently.

We are glad Scoffield was able to complete another great slab using Allen Riders.
